Head Coach John D'Auria

The 2007 season will mark John D'Auria's 25th season with the Caltech baseball program, including his 17th as head coach of the Beaver program.  He spent seven seasons as assistant coach (1983-89) before taking over the head coaching position in 1990.

During his 24 years, a Caltech baseball player has earned either first- or second-team or honorable mention All-SCIAC 28 times including Greg Fricke, who earned first-team honors at shortstop, becoming the first Caltech player to earn first-team accolades since catcher Jim Hamrick in 1986.  In addition to his coaching duties, D'Auria also teaches physical education classes including golf, volleyball, and baseball, as well as overseeing the intramural sport programs at Caltech.
