Cross-Country at UC Riverside Invitational
The Caltech Cross-Country teams competed against some tough competition from Divisions I-III at the 2005 UC Riverside Cross-Country Invitational this past weekend.
On the women’s side, Senior Ekua Anane-Fenin was the top finisher with a time 21:19.10. Next for Caltech was Diana Lin with a time of 22:26.50. Katherine Breeden and Sarah Stokes finished back-to-back with times of 22:28.80 and 22:37.00, respectively.
On the Men’s Side, Junior Mark Eichenlaub had the best finish for Caltech with a time of 29:08.40. Senior Team Captain Gustavo Olm was next with a time of 29:50.50. Only a second behind was Freshman Tommy Morphet with a time of 29.51.00. Junior Billy Zdon was fourth on the team with a time of 30:00.70.
The team runs next at the La Mirada Multi-Duals Saturday, October 14th.

Cross-Country : Back in action at Cal Lutheran Carnival
Caltech’s Cross-Country team kicked their season off at the Cal Lutheran Cross Country Carnival this past weekend. Despite missing three of their top
runners, the team performed well. Sophomore Matt Kiesz had the best finish on the Men's side with a time of 30:00.6 in the 8k. Senior team captain Gustavo Olm finished with a time of 32.12.1.
Senior Ekua Anane-Fenin had the top finish for the Caltech Women with a time of 22:11.1 in the 5k. The team runs next this Saturday at the Aztec Invitational.

Cross-Country finishes season at NCAA Regionals
The Men's and Women's Cross-Country teams finished their season at
the NCAA West Regional Championships in Chino Hills, CA this past
weekend.
Freshman David Rosen had the best finish for the Men's team, coming in 31st
place with a time of 27:33.00. He was followed by Junior Gustavo Olm in 62nd place
with a time of 28:48.70, Freshman Matt Kiesz in 69th place with a time of 29:08.00,
and Sophomore Billy Zdon in 70th place with a time of of 29:21.50. The Men's team
finished in 11th place out of 14 schools.
Senior Kamalah Chang lead the Women's team, coming in 46th place with a time of
24:49.40. Ekua Anane-Fenin came in at 63rd place with a time of 25:30.30. Freshman
Krastina Petrova came in 89th place with a time of 27:06.60. As a team, the Women finished
in 13th place.
Congratulations to both teams on a succesful completion to their 2004 season!

Cross-Country continues to perform well at Riverside Invitational
Both the Men's and Women's Cross-County teams continued their best seasons in years.
The teams fared well at the UC Riverside Invitational this past weekend, with Freshmen
David Rosen and Matt Kiesz leading the pack for the Men. For the Women, Senior Kamalah
Chang and Andrea Vasconcellos set the pace. The team next runs at the SCIAC Multi-duals,
Friday, October 15.
2003 Season Review
The Men's and Women's Cross Country finished their seasons by competing at the NCAA
West Regionals in Portland, Oregon. Sophomore and two-time 2003-04 Caltech Athlete of
the Week Gustavo Olm finished 38th in the Men's competition with a time of 27:18.0.
Freshman Will Sladek finished second for Caltech, and in 67th place overall. On the
Women's side, Junior Kamalah Chang finished in 68th place overall. Congratulations
to the whole team on the end of their season.
